CASTILLO DE SAN MARCOS NATIONAL MONUMENT

Built by the Spanish to defend Florida and the Atlantic trade route in St. Augustine, Castillo de San Marcos National Monument preserves the oldest masonry fortification in the continental United States. FORT MOSE HISTORIC STATE PARK

This 40-acre waterfront historic site was at one time a free slave settlement. This destination has all the pleasures a park as to offer—picnic areas, plenty of green grass and fresh air— and more.
